Collaborate as Topic Editors and Launch a Research Theme

Design and Art Studies invites scholars and professionals to propose Research Topics that address innovative issues, cross-disciplinary challenges, or emerging trends in design, art, aesthetics, technology, and related fields.

We welcome two to three scholars to jointly serve as Topic Editors, working together to curate a high-quality, peer-reviewed body of work under a unifying theme.

Who Can Propose a Research Topic?

  • Preference for proposals submitted by 2–3 co-editors with strong academic networks

  • A commitment to uphold scholarly quality and integrity

How to Propose a Research Topic

Your proposal should include:

  • Title of the Research Topic

  • A concise description (aim, scope, and significance)

  • Suggested keywords or subthemes

  • Names, affiliations, and bios of proposed Topic Editors (2–3 persons recommended)

  • Tentative timeline for submission and review

Our editorial team will review your proposal and respond shortly. We welcome proposals year-round and look forward to working with you to build impactful, focused, and collaborative research topics.
